Domains
Give a deployed app a domain: buy one at cost, or use one you already have. Domains go through your own Cloudflare account.
Connect Cloudflare
An owner connects Cloudflare in Settings โ Connections, under Manage domains, with an API token and the account ID. Until then, Settings โ Domains shows the steps and a Connect Cloudflare button.
Buy a domain or use yours
- Buy one: search a name (like
myshop), see whether it's taken and its price, and Buy. It's sold at cost (a .com is about $10 a year), registered in your own Cloudflare account, renewed every year, with its owner's details kept private. A premium name is bought on Cloudflare itself. - Use one you have: any domain in the Cloudflare account, or a subdomain of it, like
app.
Give it to an app
Give a domain to an app with ๐ Add a domain on the project's Deploy tab: your domains in Cloudflare come first, and you can buy a new one there too. Settings โ Domains lists them and which app each one opens.
- Neotexa makes one DNS record pointing at the app and leaves your mail records alone.
- HTTPS is on through Cloudflare, and plain HTTP sends visitors to HTTPS.
- A live app gets an update ready, so it learns its new address.
- Take it off removes the domain from the app; it stays yours. Stopping the app removes its DNS record too.
